Beginning as a bed making firm 1810 we’ve been designing and making quality furniture ever since. We love it and we're good at it.
When Sir Ambrose Heal joined the firm in 1893, he had the vision to work with the most skilled designers and crafts people of the day to create furniture that is comfortable, beautiful and affordable, reflecting the ideals of the Arts and Crafts Movement. We specialise in the highest quality hardwood furniture from Europe and the Far East, which will add character and style to any room setting in your home. All of our furniture is sourced from managed plantation timber or reclaimed timber.
When choosing imported furniture it extremely important that the wood used has been treated to prevent shrinkage when exposed to our drier climate. All of our furniture has been kiln dried and manufactured using European methods.
Our collection is forever changing but our website gives you an idea of our core ranges. However, with shipments arriving regularly we highly recommend visits to our showrooms. To compliment your furniture we also stock a large selection of lamps, mirrors and accessories.
